Besuch, Besuch, Besuch

Montag fing die Woche schon hervorragend an - ein erneuter Termin zum Ultraschall in der Uniklinik ergab, dass die Hüfte unserer kleinen Knopfin schon so gut ist, dass wir die Schiene zum baden und wickeln abnehmen dürfen!! Wir haben uns riesig gefreut und ich habe mich noch immer nicht daran gewöhnt wie groß sie ohne Schiene ist!! Schließlich hatte sie jetzt das Ding so an die 10 Wochen durchgehend an... Sie genießt es riesig, wenn sie am Wickeltisch ein wenig strampeln kann, auch wenn sie teilweise noch richtig erschrickt, wenn sie die Beine bewegt - da passiert ja plötzlich viel mehr als vorher...

The week started great on Monday - a check-up in the hospital showed that the hips of our little one are already good enough to take off the splint for nappy changing and bath time!!! We were really happy and I am still not used to her size without the splint. She is so tall already! After all, she wore this thing now for 10 weeks in a row... she really enjoys kicking when she is lying on the changing unit, even though she scares herself sometimes when she moves her legs - they just move so much more than before... 

Die letzten 3 Tage hatten wir Besuch von meinem Bruder + Frau, die auch endlich mal die Knopfin kennenlernen wollten... 800km wurden überbrückt und es waren wirklich sehr sehr schöne Tage. 
Ein Besuch in der Ackerstraße durfte natürlich nicht fehlen... hier gibt es so wunderbare Läden mit allerlei Kleinkram und handgemachten, schönen Dingen. Leider war die Knopfin nicht gerade gut gelaunt und so bin ich mit ihr nur vor den Geschäften auf und ab gefahren, während meine Gäste sich in Ruhe umgesehen haben. Ein kurzer Abstecher ins Hüftgold - ein wunderbares Café auf der Ackerstraße - war trotzdem drin. 

Over the past three days my brother and his wife were here for a visit to finally meet our little button... they bridged 800 km and we had really nice days together.

Of course we had to visit the Ackerstraße... there are such wonderful shops with a variety of bits and bobs and nice hand-made things. Unfortunately the little one was in a bad mood and so I just walked up and down in front of the shops while my guests browsed around. Still, we managed to spend some time in a wonderful coffeeshop on the Ackerstraße - the Hüftgold (could be translated with "love handles").

Nach einem Milchkaffee für mich und Milch pur für die Knopfin ging es dann besser gelaunt weiter, und ich konnte auch noch ein paar Läden angucken. Fotos davon habe ich dieses Mal leider keine gemacht, ich werde es aber bei meinem nächsten Besuch nachholen, versprochen.

After some coffee with milk for me and pure milk for the little one we went on into some more shops, this time I could also look around a bit. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures, but the next time I definitely will, I promise!

Mittwochs waren wir dann noch im Zoopavillon am Zoopark, fast schon mein Stammcafé, und haben uns Kakao gegönnt... die haben dort sicher so 20 Sorten. Für mich gabs "Meuterei", etwas bittere Schokolade mit Kokosnussnote. Mmmh... lecker!!

On Wednesday we went to the Zoopavillon at the Zoopark, something like my local coffeeshop and we treated ourselves a hot chocolate... they have around 20 different types. For me it was "Mutiny", slightly bitter chocolate with a hint of coconut. Mmmm... delicious!!

Abgesehen von Besuchen in Cafés war auch nicht viel los, gibt also auch nicht viel zu zeigen.
Denn so schön Besuch auch ist, man kommt zu nichts! Heute kommt auch noch meine Mum, die hat die Knopfin auch schon seit fast 2 Monaten nicht mehr gesehen (für sie sind es leider auch fast 800 km Entfernung) und bleibt bis Dienstag. Ich werde also vermutlich auch in den nächsten Tagen zu nicht viel kommen. Aber danach wird es wieder besser und ich kann euch hoffentlich auch wieder neue Kreationen zeigen.

Despite my visits to the coffeeshops there is not much to show. It is nice to have guests, but you don't get anything done! Today my mum arrives, she has not seen the little button for nearly 2 months (it is also a  800 km drive for her) and stays until Tuesday. So probably I won't get too much done in the next days either. But it will get better after that and hopefully I can show you some creations of mine.
